These improved Bermuda Plugs are greenhouse raised, 100% healthy and ready to plant in your lawn! This quick spreading grass can cover from 12" inches up to several feet in each direction during the growing season. Bermuda is considered low maintenance meaning you'll have more time to enjoy your new lawn.

Planting Instructions

Planting is easy - Just use a hand trowel or plugging tool to create 2"x2" holes in your yard. Once your hole is created pop in a plug, pack with dirt, and water!

We recommend planting 1 plug per square foot but you can place closer for quicker fill in. Bermuda will spread aggressively in warm weather.

Plugs will take root within 7-10 days during the growing season. Water requirements: 1 inch each day for 14 days, then 1-2 inches per week while actively growing. Keep the area mowed short (1"-2" inches) to promote lateral growth and discourage weeds.

✅ Arrives Fresh Guarantee - We carefully pack and ship your grass on the same day, which allows it to arrive fresh throughout the continental United States. In the event of a shipping delay that causes the grass to die in transit, we will send replacement trays. Since grass is a living plant, you must unpack your trays the same day you receive them and notify us within 24 hours of any issues.

Maintenance Tips

Spring
Fertilize once when grass turns green.  Mow to 0.5" to 1.5" as needed. Mowing will increase the speed in which the grass comes out of dormancy.
Summer
Mow once or even twice a week during peak growing conditions.  Water only if extended drought.  Occasional fertilizer (once every 6-8 weeks) only if areas still need to grow in.
Fall
Mow as needed, but frequency will be reduced.  Do not add fertilizer during this time. You can leave the grass a little longer than during the summer for extra insulation once the frost arrives.
Winter
No maintenance needed while dormant
